If you are only going to be in Finland for two years, and are not going to be traveling much in those two years, it seems to me that you would want to keep accumulating miles in a U.S. based airline. Having 20,000 miles in Finnair when you come back to the U.S. would be of limited value to you.

Since AA does not do status matches, perhaps staying with UA would be best.
