Thanks to the knowledge that the kul lounge was not close to what I wanted (I know I'd been there before but all the clubs tend to blur) - I tried standby for an earlier flight - and - the Gods were smiling

I traded my first class seat for economy (no first class available) KUL-SIN (40 minutes) - they even said something about a refund (which makes me think that lucky for me they didn't notice it was an award ticket) - of course a refund isn't relevant.... I am sooooo happy

I get 4 HOURS in the excellent SKL first class lounge, don't have to rush gate to gate... and to top it off I am sitting here watching the mens figure skating at the Olympics while inbetween flights None of the Olympic events were on the TV in KL. I am One happy camper
