What's not being said here is that the post above and the post below are not referring to the same kind of TA. If a TA (above) does a lot for you that you can't do yourself then the TA is obviously providing a service worth paying for.

But if the TA (below) is not savvy and just issues you a ticket that you could have got yourself cheaper on the web, then the TA isn't providing any value and doesn't deserve your business.
