No axe to grind...just over 20 years of hearing, "Opps, sorry, we are Platinum(or similar level) and yet didn't know this wasn't permitted."

Honestly, I'm not claiming to be the world's greatest f/a, but I am damn good and most of the customers that encounter me on the plane are very happy with the service I provide. Yet, because of possible corporate action against what an employee posts on threads like these, you will never be able really know that for a fact.
