I am sure that even if you make separate reservations for consecutive nights at one hotel, it will count as one "stay." However, going over some old statements, if you change rooms, as in request a different type of room for one of the nights, then it will count separately. I stayed two consecutive nights at the Westin in Washington, DC. The first night I requested a king bed, as I was by myself. For the second night, I was meeting a friend and we were splitting a room, so I requested two double beds. It counted as two one-night stays. Would this always work, or was this an exception?
