The club (AAngel?) certainly gets credit for processing your renewal (as well as a join-up).

They are BLATANT about it when they notice your expiration date .. every club you pass thru the last 6 weeks before renewal seems to offer to renew your membership!

There are many words for this kind of solicitation .. words that certainly do not fit most of the AAngels. I wonder what the reward is for a club/AAngel who signs up a large number of new or renewal membership?? Maybe a free confirmed flight someplace??

AHHHH for the days of the SOS where they really meant something $$$$ for the staff!
