You can reserve a palapa ahead of time for your entire stay. That way they will set it up for you each day and you don't have to get up at 7am to stand in line to get one. You call the hotel and tell them you want to speak to the beach staff. They will take care of it for you. I wish I knew it before our stay!

When checking in ask for one of the rooms with a full balcony. There are very few of these and some of them are suites. They couldn't give us a suite but did give us a large room with balcony which was great.

We enjoyed the restaurants at the Hyatt. They were quite good.

Enjoy your stay. We thought the hotel was great!
