Interesting. The new signs around indicate that the flights are closed 30 minutes ahead of time. I admit I don't pay attention very much. In JAN (my home base), I usually arrive at the airport about 1 hr ahead of time (regardless of whether or not I have checked bags and not have a problem). However, I don't dare risk it anywhere else.
I was pleasantly surprised this past Monday when I got to LGA for my 9:00 AM flight to ATL. I got to the airport aroun 7:45 AM. There was no line at Medallion/FC check-in. There was no line at the "elite" Security Point.
