The number of comped hotel rooms/ meals will be very very small. With weather issues the airline is not responsible for your accomodations or meals. For Plat elites that would get stuck at a connecting point they generally DO give a hotel room if asked, but it is doubtful that it would be offered. (Unless this unwritten beni went away in BK).

The storm had enough warning and the airlines took evasive action from the start with flgiht waivers that people should have stayed away from the airports if at all possible. All these factors would reduce the airlines liability.

Many airports put out cots if a large number of passengers are stranded in the terminal due to weather and sometimes an outside agency will come through with coffee/drinks/meals. But here again the preventative steps were in place to minimize catastrophic problems in the terminals.
