My "sleep strategy" as it stands at the moment.....

Getting there, I have a 2 night stop over in Singapore, which should help I think.
BA15 - LHR-SIN, leaves 21.45. I was thinking pre-flight dining would be best, then watch a movie and try and sleep for a few hours then staying awake for the last few hours of the flight.

Two nights in Singapore

BA17 - SIN-MEL, leaves 19.15. Eat on plane then sleep as much as possible until woken for landing.

Coming home is all the way through, but with an extended layover in SIN.

BA16 - SYD-SIN, leaves 16.25, arrives 21.15. Try to stay awake all flight.

Freshen up with a shower in SIN?

BA18 - SIN-LHR, leaves 23.35, lands 05.50. Stay awake for a few hours, then sleep as long as possible.

Any advice is greatly received, plus any other hints and tips for the journey.

Thanks all!

My approach would be to change to different flights

For SIN-MEL, change to BA7372 SIN-SYD and connect to QF188 to MEL; BA7372 ( TKA QF32 ) leaves SIN at 09:25 and arrives into SYD at 19:25. Have a nice easy daylight flight arriving into MEL in the evening.

Coming back , SIN-LHR, rather than connect directly, spend the night in the transit hotel and take BA7371 (QF31) in the morning which will arrive into London at Noon. Sleeping in a real bed I find sooo much nicer than any airline seat. Taking this flight to LHR I have zero jetlag
