I've normally found the CDG based crews very good. [One should also not equate CDG-based crews with French nationals. I've spoken to many Americans who're based at CDG.]
It's very sad if their professionalism isn't more than this - regardless of their desire to be fired rather than transferred [due to the closing of the CDG base].
