I just thought I would post my experience -- I was GM, but only flew 14,700 miles on Delta in 2001 so did not requalify for medallion status this yr. When I flew Delta on Friday, 3/1, my tix (purchased in Jan) still showed me as GM and my GM bonus miles posted. On Friday, I still had GM status on the website, but by Sunday, 3/3 I was just a regular SkyMiles member. So that night on my return flight I was surprised my tix printed with GM status. I was even more surprised when I received a stand by tix for an earlier flight and my new boarding pass also showed GM. However, I did not receive GM bonus miles for that return flight. I am curious to know whether I was considered GM or regular skymiles member in the stand by decision. I was very lucky to be the last standby passenger called on to a VERY full flight back to LGA from PBI.
