HERE is the original press release from GM.
The new service is now available for owners of all Pontiac models, and Chevrolet Corvette, Suburban, Tahoe, and Avalanche owners. It will become available to all GM vehicle owners in the United States during the first half of 2002; it will also be introduced in Asia, Europe, and Latin America later in the year.
....special privileges such as exclusive wallpaper and screen-savers, and marketing offers from select GM partners, including bonus miles from the Delta Air Lines SkyMiles program
I did confirm this in the DL computer. It says you must register for the offer w/in the GM site (you must register your car through their site (w/ your VIN#)). From what I gather, you get an extra 1,000 bonus miles when purchasing a tckt on delta.com via the link provided inside the GM site (make sense?). All trvl must be completed by 31MAR02, and the bonus miles will be posted after the trvl is completed.
Anyone meeting the criteria, plz sign-up and see if it works; I'd do it, but I'm a Nissan guy myself. Another 1,000 miles never hurt anyone.
