Considering the value of miles $0.02 against $0.2 cash, I would keep the cash. But for people like me, who only travel around 30,000 miles a year, I like to get as many miles as I can. In Delta I only flew 17,000 miles last year, but accumulated 60,000 by adding a few miles here and there.
