A major credit card is required, but I'm not sure how secure that is. While I've never had a problem with paid tickets, I had two GR award tickets claimed and used by someone else (GR refused to recredit the points) and on several occasions I've gone to pick up GR tickets and had other people's itineraries appear on the screen in addition to my own.
