Thanks for all the inputs. I’m a Starwood Platinum as well as a Hyatt Diamond member and I’m just wanted to try out the 4Seasons for the first time. I called up the 4Seasons San Francisco directly, they were surprised about this issue even came up. The front desk manager told me despite of the regulation policy, they had never enforced this on their guests (if I called the hotel directly for booking, especially in my case with two very young children.)
I think I would just stay with my usual choice of hotels and be happy.
