I'd be surprised if components of this don't remain elsewhere AND if such does not continue to be paid for by parts of the "undisclosed" "intelligence" budget or buried into one of the other budget items as it's taken out of the TSA budget.
I'll dig around more in two weeks, but I'd be surprised if this is wiped out completely. I'd be less surprised if this is already moving ahead as part of some SAP or another as that was the plan in the first place when resistance to CAPPS II/SecureFlight first popped up. (Such resistance caught the VP's and Rumsfeld's attention but was agreed upon by them as having to be circumvented.)

In any event, this is the season for budget-related posturing. Something to keep in mind.
