As far as the OP is concerned, it seem unlikely that any miles or points are due. The base bit of the ticket is non miles earning, so I can't see what proportion of the mileage could be awarded. I stand to be corrected though.
Do tell us how much you paid. Would be interesting to know.
I also purchased an onboard upgrade from WT+ to CW last week (ORD-LHR) for £600 and have just faxed the receipts across. Hopefully my miles and points will post as easily to my BAEC account as yours did.
