Alternatively, and especially for the OP, one can download the excellent and free Excel spreadsheets that do the calculating for you - search on McFlyPHL and the spreadsheets' information and location will come up.

aa.com is confusing in how it posts short flights. A 250-mile flight is shown as 250 flight miles, 250 bonus miles (plus any other bonus miles for elite status and/or class of service) for the 500-mile minimum. The only way you can tell you got 500 Q-miles is to compare before-and-after Q-miles totals, since they don't break down your Q-miles counter by flights. It helps to track this frequently, daily if practical, before too many other flights get added in and make it harder to sort out how the total became what it is.
