It doesn't make sense to me that they would design a schedule with a 5 minute or 10 minute misconnection on a pretty heavy route like BKK-NRT to NRT-SFO/NRT-LAX. They could move each flight by 5 minutes and then the connection would work. I assume they designed the schedule this way to intentionally prevent people from connecting, but I don't understand why.
