Sorry that was such a messy titel - hopefully you got the gist!

I got the following request from a female colleague, and I was wondering if anybody had some suggestions (the holidays I enjoy don’t usually involve much relaxing or visits to spas)

“I have a hen’s weekend to organise for my friend who is getting married in May this year. She lives in Switzerland and the rest of us are here in London. So I wanted to organise a cheap getaway to Europe somewhere that we could relax, maybe go to a spa or beach, but that wasn’t too far to travel from here.”

She also mentioned that they wanted to go on a weekend around March or early April – so I don’t think she was that serious about beaches (I think the Canary Islands would be a tad too far)

I don’t really know what women like to do when they go off on holiday together, and being one myself doesn’t necessarily make it that obvious.

Any suggestions would be very warmly received.
