would people be better off to look at skymiles as what they are
a reward to entice people to buy tickets and give them business
in return you are given miles
to come back and take a future flight and all you pay is the tax

buying a ticket will cost the same money with or without getting miles

it would be great if delta would make alot on the sale of miles to american express they need it
i would think they get less on the sale to american express for those miles than they would on the sales of all the seat that could be had with those miles
but not all the money upfront like from american express
then american express is then going to use them as an incentive for people to use there card by giving them miles that can be had at no cost but for the item you will buy with their card

so why should you think you are buying miles to only to be angered in how they let you use them
would one be better thinking that miles are a free bonus and coach tickets and first class tickets are bonus even when you have to pay the tax this should then make easier to feel good about

it is deltas game and if they don't wont to allow upgrades on a reward ticket that should be up to them
they aren't forcing you to play their game
go elsewhere to play
or stay here and get all bent out of shape about it

but smile and be happy
it should be just a FREE BONUS
but still you should find the best deal and if it takes griping to get it or it make you feel better more power to you
