US Airways sold the 170's that they were operating under MidAtlantic to Republic as an asset sale. The MDA pilots going over to Republic to fly the SAME 170's that they are currently flying for US Airways have to go through the retraining. And Republic is making them sign a training contract! Ouch.
Former Shuttle pilots haven't signed a training contract yet, and they've already started training. So, there is going to be hell to pay if Republic makes them sign a contract for "back-training". It's really messy over there in the regionals right now...
