I took Mrs. Broccoli there to see the park as it is famed for its contemporary design. The slide and oher cool play stuff was a surprise. Too bad the young Broccolis were cooling their heels at home wth Grandma. The canal ride was a real treat. You travel up through a long series of locks along the center of a boulevard. The tunnel is just off the Seine passing under the Place de la Bastille. On our tour, the guide pulled out a clarinet when we were deep in the tunnel and played 20 minutes of soulful jazz. It was quite an effect in the dim light with the sound echoing off the brick walls.
