It's amazing what a crappy job AA does in picking partners. JAL is under threat by the Japanese government to suspend all operations, China Eastern receives abysmal reviews by the folks brave enough to fly them, Swiss got bought and hasn't been replaced, in India Jet says it is going to buy Sahara just three months after AA announces codesharing with Sahara....

Is this par for the course, or do other airlines (e.g. those in *A and SkyTeam) have more stable partners?
