Keep in mind that in certain US cities if you fall out of the sky on a mileage award ticket and perish you don't even have travel insurance.
Many are not aware that Amex does not cover award travel of any kind.
Revenue tickets YES
Even if the taxes are charged to the card.So check carefully if it matters to you.New York for example is a NO Good on coverage for mileage tickets
