So you really think that Continental, which is stuggling for survival, and fighting ever-higher fuel prices, should annoy its best customers, the ones that actually HELP the airline by flying all the time, by upgrading some schmoe who probably spent maybe $618 last year just to make Silver Elite? That "I bought a couple of tickets, so we should all be partners and you should take care of me?" makes any sense? Do you really think that type of thinking -- as compared to upgrading the people who really spend money on Continental -- is going to keep food on CO employee's tables, and jets in the air?
