Actually, since the change is a result of
their schedule change, they will typically not charge a fare difference in most cases. It has to at least look like the change in the schedule is causing a problem that the new routing fixes. A schedule change is not carte blanche to totally change ones routing. What they will, and will not, approve in this case becomes somewhat AAgent dependent.
