Great, that's what I thought. The LAS-DFW section and DFW-ATL section have seperate flight numbers.

Yes, that's what I thought as well. The legs are split between MD80's and 757's. The P booking code threw me off a bit though, here is what I found -
P - First - Full Fare - Premium transcontinental Flagship service domestic first class on 3-class flights.
