First, welcome to FT!
When I flew AA I only saw 2 FAs. One on a LAX-SFO flight and then the other on SFO-JFK. I didn't see any on Frontier or ATA. I really think that for US carriers (or at least the carrier's I have flown) male flight attendant't are rare, just as female pilots are rare (but to a lesser extent than FAs).
