Now, I'm a regular traveller in BA economy and I'd like to introduce a dose of reality to the PR-spiel that has been posted above.

1. Raid the Larder: IME this has only appeared on 10+ hour long flights. Middle East and East Coast US flights don't get this service in Y.
2. IFE Games? You must be joking. This has only ever been advertised in WT+, not Y, and then only on the one-in-a-million aircraft that has the right IFE system installed.
3. Food: The 'three-course' meal will be a small salmon salad, hot main (beef or chicken anyone?) and a chocolate gateux/apple-blueberry tart thingy. Plus a chocolate bar (no cheese anymore....grrr).
4. 12 channel IFE is all very well assuming there are decent films/documentaries unlike the utter crap that has been playing in January and February 2006...

Basically.....BA = free booze and a seatback TV, AA doesn't. That's it.
