Can you elaborate on what 'banks' means in this context?

I'm with the previous poster though - I've had some very long distance connections in IAH which is why I started getting sensitive to this issue. Its gotten better though. Close calls involving the low numbered D gates aren't an issue now that Termalink was set up to run to D/E.
The only IAH connections that I still am wary of:
a. CoEx connections when the plane is out of that circus CO calls "gate" 84a/b/c...
b. Connections to the regional (Colgan) flights out of A.

Again I'll take a shot at CO on this one. Both of these are due to bad planning on CO's part. Granted I'm only a Gold level flyer but I see a lot of CO, NW, DL, and AS flts and only CO seems to engage in this crazy bus ride to the middle of nowhere practice.
