I tried Priceline on Friday for my dates of 3/3-3/5 (3-day rental). I bid $18 for a full size. Not accepted. I was given the chance to rebid on the same car class so a bid $1 to $2 higher would probably be accepted. BUT at $19 per day adding in the taxes and fees, Priceline would be more than I am paying at nearly $22 per day with an Entertainment 2006 coupon and discount at Alamo. You have to look at the final cost, not just the daily rate.

Hotwire rates were more than Alamo.
