I flew 4 round trips ORD-HKG or SIN last year on 747's. Every time I had the exit row at 46 A or K. I'm 1P so I can get E+, but I prefer the E- exit row at 46. I like the window. Row 35 in E+ doesn't have a window that aligns with the seat.
I know there are comments about the exit door protruding into your leg space, but I didn't mind it. (I'm short).
If you like the aisle, I would think that 35 or 46 C or H would be the best seats.
But popular opinion and
www.seatguru.com don't agree with me. Complaints about people congregating, noise, arm rests immoveable. And no storage under the non-existent seat in front of you.
But that's my point. There is no seat in front of you - for about 8 feet! Yeah, some people might congregate 4 feet in front of you. I certainly congregated there and met some good people. You are right next to the galley if you want to get up and get a drink, instead of waiting until a FA happens to come by and then happens to remember.
ORD-HKG, everyone's on a different sleep schedule. No need to wake anybody if you want to get up and walk around. 8 feet of space in front of you.
Tuesday I'm on ORD-NRT-HKG. 46 K on the 747 ORD-NRT. I think it's the best window seat on a 747 in E.
