I have several questions...any insight is appreciated:
1. The beds. All I see available for award stays is two twins; they are listed as 'twin hilton guestroom'. I have a little blurb that tells me no one bedded rooms are available. Do these join together for a king or are they truly two separate beds?

2. Lounge / upgrade. As a silver member, do I have any chance at all of garnering either of these?

3. Any quick ways to make Gold if the answer to #3 is 'no'?

4. Getting to the hotel. We arrive in Rome, then stay one night in Naples to see that area. Our intent is to take the ferry to Sorrento for both the experience and b/c the trains don't sound like anything special. How can we get from Marina Piccola to the Hilton? Walk? Bus? Taxi?

5. Getting around. I've seen conflicting posts on this board; some say it is 5 minutes max to Sorrento from the hotel, others say it is 15 and make it sound like it is up a 90 degree incline. We're in our mid-30's and in decent shape. How long will it take us to get to dining, shopping and drinking?

Grazie and ciao!
1. I stayed there in December and had a king bed. The room was very unique with hardwood floors and a very long bathroom with separate shower stall and tub.

2. Unless you pay for an upgraded room, you won't get one as a silver HH member. Same with lounge access. I will say that the food and service in the lounge were superb. They do need to rotate the CDs in the stereo more often; we were sick of Simply Red by the time we left.

3. Either do a mattress run or spend $20K on a Hilton Amex

4. We found that Sorrento is a very walkable city from the Hilton. We had small bags on wheels and never needed a taxi.

5. 10 minutes to the city or train station, 15 minutes from the marina
