repairing broken luggage tags
While I was please that Delta actually managed to get my credentials to me before the beginning of the year, as opposed to somewhere between February and April as I had become accustomed to, I was not so thrilled to find one of my luggage tags broken after my second segment. Fortunately the damage was done in a rental car trunk so I was able to recover the broken tag.
I considered calling SMS and asking for a new one, but thought better of it, figuring it would never arrive. Then low and behold I wind up having to take the Shuttle one morning LGA-DCA. I get stuck in security and miss my flight by three minutes; I notice they start moving really slow as the half hour approaches. Thus I found myself in the Business Center (sort of a tiny CRC with free soft drinks that most people don't use probably because they think it requires membership) where I found a lamination machine where I promptly laminated my broken tag and problem solved.
