Other than that I think the advice is good. However, the cab ride is $50 one way + ti. I'd rather go for a one day car rental and go for a drive, if it was just me.

Oops...my bad...missed the minors part....but 40 people in cabs is not that bad....if you do 4 to a cab and it costs say $50 to get into the city....That's $25/pp return (which is definitely not what I consider a fortune)....not bad to get into the city for 8 hours. But I agree, that's not even possible with kids. Doubt you would want them running around downtown anyways (depending on their age).
