I'm not 100% sure how NW handles it, but CO handles SJU as an international destination. You have to call int'l reservations and you have to check-in at int'l check-in desk, even though the flight is domestic and there's no passport checks, etc. Silly on CO's part. I wonder if NW handles it the same.
Sorry about the mixup; I am indeed flying to San Juan, not San Jose. Sometimes my fingers outrun my brain. I'd thought that NWA treats it as int'l, but I guess I'll find out tomorrow.
