I am surprised that MAA-SIN-ICN-SFO is shorter than MAA-LHR-SFO. In terms of travel time both of them are almost the same. The layover in LHR is 4 hrs and that is the same as 3.5+1 in SIN and ICN. So, I wonder how the SIN-ICN route is shorter than LHR.

I agree BA's IFE may not be at par with SQ's, but I wouldn't want to pay a 25% premium for that.

Someone suggested booking an AI ticket codeshared with the SIN-SFO SQ flight. I've had my share of terrible experiences with AI and I would never want to go with AI even for a single leg.
