Why not just sign up for a QF FF account and use their website to check availability? Or use the KVS availability tool? Or ExpertFlyer?
SYD really isn't that cold or wet in late June/early July. Sure it's their winter but it's mild and frankly I enjoy it. But it's actually a great time to travel to Australia and then perhaps head up to CNS... in fact no better time of year for that!!
