PDX has great food at reasonable prices. In particular, the sushi (much of it, flown in from Japan) at the Rose City Grille is some of the best in the area. When flying out of the south wing, hanging outside of security is no big deal because the lines are never that bad. The AS side otoh can be bad at times.

I've been to all 3 of the afforementioned lounges as well, but honestly, the airport itself is a pretty good place to kill time.
