Hi everyone, I'm relying on the YYZ-area gurus (or people who travel through frequently) on this one to help me out if possible...
I've just found out that I'll be having an 8 hr layover at YYZ at the tail end of Easter Break. I will be traveling with approximately 40 other individuals (mostly minors). Don't worry, I'm not asking for 40 MLL passes
We arrive in YYZ @ 1200 hrs and depart @ 2000 hrs for YYC.
Is it easy/practical/economically feasible for this large of a group to get into Toronto to see some sights (it's a Saturday) ? There was a thread concerning this issue but it dated back to 2003 so I'm not sure if things have changed around YYZ.
Specifically, here are a few questions:
Is 8 hrs long enough to do something other than sit at the airport ?
Is there public transport into Toronto itself ? If so, is it frequent ?
If getting into Toronto is feasible, what things would you recommend (taking into consideration the aforementioned criteria) ?
If not going into Toronto itself, are there other options you would consider instead ?
I appreciate any and all insight and advice on this one (and no, leaving behind the 40-odd others is not an option).
Thanks for your assistance,
Singlepoint
