My upgrade request for an upcoming flight just came through as waitlisted, despite there being seats open (according to a ual fake booking). I understand that this is most likely due to UA holding seats back in the hopes of selling them, and they will be released some time before the flight. My question is about the strange view on My Itineraries, it shows two entries for the flight that is waitlisted. Is this normal? Its my first time upgrading and I apologise for the question if it is a ruitine, but I'm sure you can understand how I might think this is a ual.com error. Here is what My Itineraries looks like:
