How lame is it that they charge $14/day, when room rates can be well over 200/night? (especially lately in DC!)

When the weather's nice, I don't mind so much, but when it's cold and rainy..

Other than the fitness center, I thought the hotel was OK. Location was great, and staff were decent. But the fitness center charge is a dealbreaker for me. There are too many other hotels in DC that are at least as good, that don't charge for use of the fitness center.

Two of my faves are the Hotel George and Hotel Madeira (Kimpton)
