I for one wouldn't waste my free night certificate at this property. In fact you'd have to pay me to stay there again.

I've stayed there twice now as Ambassador and both times my "upgraded" room looked no better than the average Howard Johnson. I had booked the best rate available and was hoping for an upgrade to at least an executive room. When I inquired about the upgrade, I was told that my room (barely large enough to move around the bed) was upgraded. The funny thing was -- I was traveling with a friend who booked the same rate & wasn't Ambassador, and he had the same exact room type.

I had requested a late check-out of 4pm the evening before -- as Amb. members are entitled to. After a late evening out I received the first of several phone calls beginning at 11am asking when we planned on checking out. Their excuse was that the late check-out wasn't guaranteed (even though I was told it was okay the night before) and that their cleaning crew was gone by 4pm.

The front desk service was absolutely appaling. One of the times I stayed with the "Buy One Get one Free" IC promotion for Europe. I had everything printed out from the web (including the promotion details) and two ladies at the front desk said they had never heard of the promotion and accused me of forging the documents! It took over an hour to straighten things out -- after they called the reservation centre and found the manager on duty. By that time I had missed my train and not even an apology or compensation came from their obviously red faces.

The bathroom ceiling was full of mildew in both rooms, the bathtubs were stained with all sorts of colours. The Ambassador welcome gift consisted of some horrible popcorn and Kit-Kats. Give me a break!

The only redeeming quality of the hotel as someone mentioned -- is the fitness center. This place is in desperate need of a major makeover!
