I don't think so. Don't shoot the messenger - I am just another PM who does connect fairly often, who will most likely also be affected by those changes.

It is good to know that apparently, DL agents can manually clear the upgrades - but from what others have posted and from what I can see on the availability display, it certainly looks like the automated processing will give out far less upgrades since the implementation of journey control.
