coming from dallas, the most likely view is from the left, but the most spectacular view would be from the right, if the river visual 31 approach is in use. that's fairly unusual, tho -- more likely for good views are arrivals on 4 (good view from left) or 13 (ok view from left -- you'll get a great look at shea stadium and the tennis center). if they land on 22, the only people who get a good view are the two sitting in row zero. i'm not sure how they'd approach that from the southwest, tho.

if you want to watch arrival patterns, go to http://www4.passur.com/lga.html , and see what they're doing on various days. looks like they're flying expressway visual 13 today -- that approach is a blast coming from boston, and the left side definitely wins.
