I didn't realize that 2 heavy suitcases were involved. That would perhaps make the tram/ferry option less desirable.

You could however use the HK cargo tunnel to ship your suitcases from Wan Chai to TST East. (This is a little-known service used for shipping small freight -- put the freight on the slow-moving conveyor belt in WC, pick it up 2 hours later in TST East. Conveyor belt goes north from 6am-2pm, south from 3pm-10pm.)
