Funny thing.. AA bought QQ and then dumped the RNO to California routes.
So, since AA doesn't fly LAX-RNO, which would be a 15K award, you will have to see if you can get an AA award on AS for 25K.
But....... why would you waste 25K, plus the award ticketing fee, to do this?
