I agree more control of the lines and how they form is needed in some places. In LAS, they usually have one line (I think A) go along the wall. As the A line will always have the most people, that makes sense. But why not have the C line in the middle? It is the shortest and often, with preboards not in the mix, not too bad. Seems better to put the longest lines further apart.
I thought the airports where they have seats sort of seperating the lines was good, but it makes it crowded. Probably better to have all the seats away from the front area of lines.
Maybe no GOOD method, but they should try to find something better.
